Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. While the group did not make much progress in America, they were hugely popular internationally. This was especially true in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career after the band was disbanded in 1979. She began voice lessons, and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Ford failed to make anything with either of them and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. She returned with a bang with her hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her most popular hit songs. However, her success was brief and she disappeared from the music industry for a number of decades. The resurgence of her career came with albums "Black" from 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland", almost 15 years following. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
