Lita Rossana Ford She was born in the United Kingdom and was an American musician, singer, and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was the lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. While the group was not success in the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a heavy-metal solo musician after the group broke up from 1979. She took vocal lessons and released her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Both albums failed to have much success, and Ford was largely absent out of the scene for several years. In 1988, Ford returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. The lead song "Kiss Me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were huge hits. However, her fame was brief, and she went under the radar for several years. Her re-emergence was with the albums "Black" in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
