Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who played lead guitar in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. It wasn't possible for the band to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of popularity in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and successful career as a solo heavy metal performer after the band split together in 1979. After receiving voice classes, Ford launched her debut self-titled album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin on the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and was largely absent from the world of rock for an entire decade. The smash-hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. Her success was unfortunately short lived and for several additional years she was absent. The resurgence of her career came with release of "Black" from 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. in 2016, the latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
