Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. While the group was not success on the scene in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment of her group in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood.
