Lita Rossana Ford is a British-born American musician, singer, and music writer. In the late 70s she was the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular in other countries. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford had a long and successful career as a solo heavy metal performer after the band split together in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford disappeared from rock for a few years following the albums did not become popular. In 1988, she returned to the world of music by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. The track "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs.
