Lita Rossana Ford Also known as Lita Ford, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all females in the late 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and raunchy lyrics made them noticed by the rock community. The band was never able to the band to be popular in America, however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the split from her band in 1979. After taking vocal classes, Ford launched her first solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Ford vanished for some time from the scene after the two albums didn't draw much attention. In 1988, Ford returned to the music scene with an amazing album titled "Lita. The lead single "Kiss Me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs. The popularity of her was brief, and she went under the radar for a couple of years. Then she returned with the release of 'Black in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' almost 15 years later. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
