Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. Although the band was not popular in their home country of the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the band breakup. Following vocal training, she released her solo debut album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin"On The Edge'. The two albums didn't have much success, and Ford disappeared out of the scene for a few years. The smash hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' both became major hits. However, her success was brief and she disappeared from the music industry for a number of decades. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, it was back in the spotlight. The year was 2016, and her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
