Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. In the late 70s she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The group wasn't successful within the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford began a solo heavy metal career following the split from her band in 1979. She started taking voice lessons and then released her first album "Out For Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. Ford failed to make any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for around a decade. The hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in 1988. The single "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. However, the success of her career was not long-lasting and for several years, she was absent. In 1995, she released "Black," and 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. In 2016, she released her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
