Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. The band was not able to gain a lot of attention on the scene in The United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's was disbanded in 1979. After taking voice classes, Ford launched her debut single album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". The albums of Ford were not particularly successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. The smash hit 'Lita' came out in 1989. Both the song "Kiss me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. However, her fame was temporary, and she was gone for several years. Her re-emergence was with the release of "Black" which came out in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland", almost fifteen years later. in 2016, the most recent album, 'Timecapsule', was made available. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
