Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and was an American guitarist, vocalist and writer. In the late 70s she was the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. It was not possible for The Runaways to become an instant hit in the United States, however, they enjoyed a great deal of acclaim in other nations and in particular Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career after the band ended in 1979. She started taking voice lessons and then released her first album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" on the Edge.
