Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to by the name Lita Ford) is an British born American guitarist who was the lead in The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They were noticed for their rebellious songs and punk-rock style. The group was not able to achieve major success in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment of her group in 1979. Following vocal training, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following both albums failed to become popular. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene with an amazing album titled 'Lita. Both the track "Kiss me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. Then she returned after the release of 'Black in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' nearly 15 years after. The album "Time Capsule" was released in the year 2016 by her.
