Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. The group wasn't success in The United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford began a solo heavy metal career following the split from her band in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Ford was absent from the scene for some time after the albums did not be a huge success. The smash hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever were both huge hit songs. However, her success was short-lived and she remained absent from the industry for a number of years. Her re-emergence was with the release of "Black" which came out in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland", almost fifteen years later. Her most recent album "Time Capsule," launched in 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
