Lita Rossana Ford was a British-born American musician, singer and music writer. In the late 70s she played as the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979 Ford began a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. After taking vocal lessons she released her solo debut album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. The albums of Ford were not particularly successful and she disappeared for a few years. In 1988, she returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the world of music for many years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. In 2016, she released her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player Magazine.
