Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress who is well-known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then, in 1956 she got her first big break in the stage on Broadway in Li'l Abner's musical. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina that in the same year. Her first appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda on God's Little Acre, a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. At the time, she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came from 1964, when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was a success in Hollywood and Broadway in roles that were more serious that reflected her reputation as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she's also earned her name as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She has lived there for the last ten years.
